COMPRESSION THERAPY BENEFITS

Compression therapy uses dynamic air compression to create a restorative massage that helps you feel refreshed faster. If you are an athlete or suffering from leg pain, compression therapy will increase circulation, improve performance, reduce muscle soreness, and speed up your recovery from injury.

Compression therapy increases blood circulation by providing sequential compression through the various air chambers along the sleeves, helping you maintain your full range of motion, leaving you fresh and limber.

Compression therapy helps to reduce swelling by pushing fluid out of the legs and back into the bloodstream. This treatment option is useful for people who experience swelling due to physical training, varicose veins, lymphedema, or other conditions.

Warm-up and recover like never before. Compression therapy helps to improve athletic performance by increasing blood flow to the muscles. This form of treatment aids to reduce fatigue and improve muscle function.

Big training session? Say goodbye to DOMS & cramps. Compression therapy assists in reducing muscle soreness after exercise by removing lactic acid and other waste products from the muscles.

Speed up your recovery by reducing inflammation and promoting healing through the use of several different compression therapy modes & programs.

Recover faster with Pneumatic Compression Therapy

The Recovery Projects Pneumatic Compression Therapy mimics the natural muscle pump of the legs, which aids the heart in the circulation of blood around the body. By providing a mechanical massaging of the muscles, our compression system replicates the enhanced blood flow created by walking, running or cycling.

HOW COMPRESSION THERAPY WORKS

Learn everything about your Compression Therapy session at the Recovery Room Seaspray.

Pneumatic compression therapy is a type of therapy that uses air pressure to apply gentle pressure to the legs. This pressure helps to improve blood flow and reduce swelling. Pneumatic compression therapy is often used to treat a variety of conditions, including varicose veins, lymphedema, and deep vein thrombosis (DVT).

Whether you are an avid gym-goer or athlete, or new to training & recovery, compression therapy offers a restorative massage to ease any muscle strain or soreness you may be experiencing.

On top of the everyday training, pneumatic compression therapy can also be beneficial to assist in treatment of:

  • Varicose veins
  • Lymphedema
  • Risk for blood clots
  • High Level Athletes
  • Chronic leg pain

The length of pneumatic compression therapy can vary depending on your time constraints and the condition being treated. We recommend a 20 - 30 minute session. However, sessions can be completed twice a day to assist with recovery if needed.

Pneumatic compression therapy can offer a number of benefits for athletes, including:

  • Improved performance: Compression therapy can help to improve athletic performance by increasing blood flow to the muscles. This can help to reduce fatigue and improve muscle function.
  • Reduced muscle soreness: Compression therapy can help to reduce muscle soreness after exercise. This is because it helps to remove lactic acid and other waste products from the muscles.
  • Speedy recovery: Compression therapy can help to speed up recovery from injury. This is because it helps to reduce inflammation and promote healing.
  • Prevention of injuries: Compression therapy can help to prevent injuries by reducing muscle fatigue and improving muscle function.

Athletes can use pneumatic compression therapy as often as they like. However, it is important to listen to your body and stop using compression therapy if you experience any pain or discomfort.
